Lionfish, The Beautiful Outlaw premiered at the prestigious Our World - Underwater Film Festival, in Chicago. The half-hour TV version began airing on select PBS member stations in September, and is slated for wider broadcast. The documentary examines the Indo-Pacific lionfish as an invasive species in the western Atlantic, and the myriad responses to it. Features interviews with Eugene "Rod" Roddenberry, and marine scientists including Dr. Sylvia Earle. A full, 90-minute version is now in production.
